Storytronics brings the ancient and compelling art of storytelling to a new, interactive medium. Play our flagship storyworld, Balance of Power-21st Century, a sequel to Balance of Power, Chris Crawford's blockbuster hit from the early days of computer games.
Chris leads the way for us with a storyworld focused on his great strengths as a game designer: geopolitical, military, and economic strategy. Strategic storyworlds have broad application in training and entertainment, but this is only the beginning.
We start at this moment with a single storyworld and a simple interface, built on a shoestring budget. But our vision for Storytronics is much bigger. Storytronics can be used to create storyworlds set in as intimate and interpersonal a milieu as Balance of Power-21st Century is strategic and globe-spanning. Ultimately, we envision the Storytron website as a bazaar, with a wide variety of storyworlds for sale and a thriving community built around them. Romance, magic, science fiction, drama, adventure, mystery--any genre you have experienced in traditional form--is possible with Storytronics.
